One of the largest natural gas corporations in the nation seeks to turn the northwest into a green energy hub.

Advertisement campaigns built around helping northwestern families get free green energy appliances and insulation. CNGC wanted a new approach, different from infomercials but something relatable, silly and helps carry their brand toward a better green future.

We have worked with CNGC for years, and usually with video only. But on an occasional project, we collaborate on creating static advertisements that can be used in OOH creative and in digital advertising.
Ad Creative
We're not perfect animators, just designers with a passion to breathe life into what we create. For CNGC, that looked like designing on brand assets and using basic animation principles to communicate a message and script in english and spanish.
Animation
The primary goal of our projects with CNGC is to create a video that promotes a unique offer or rebate for local qualified residents in promotion of green energy. We have championed two major products at separate times for their rebate offers.
Video Production

Process Breakdown

An effective video needs key discovery and a deep understanding of brand voice in order to be effective. From learning about CNGC's mission for more sustainable energy, to understanding primary audiences, their unique circumstances and how to pitch rebates to them properly. This phase provides the foundation for us to build production upon.
The Human Branding Framework & Other Discovery
For any video we've completed with CNGC, there are multiple stakeholders involved. From account reps, to regional owners, and more. This means taking a step back prior to storyboards to complete video mood board directions and strategy to ensure we are on the same page before creative production ever begins.
Moodboards & Strategy
We provide our storyboards with example voice overs from paid actors who help breathe life into something as simple as a wire-framed video. This allows us to convey the direction of a given video easily so that the client can review and comment on the majors before we ever get into tiny design detail.
Storyboards, Scripts & Voiceovers
For both videos, we always start by referencing the mood board for any collection of assets, recordings or designs. From realistic videos to designing vectors to fit into the animation. Everything we create is scratch-made and unique to CNGC.
Video Design & Animation
Some rebates and green energy offers need more touch points with a given audience before they are ready to respond. Thinking about ad creative in a system of touchpoints at their placement within the funnel process is crucial. What someone knows as a first touchpoint versus a 3rd or 4th is different. So different information needs to be conveyed uniquely given the audience circumstance.
Ad Creative Design
Handoff with video and ad creative can feel overwhelming if the implementation team is not tech heavy. From ensuring proper sizing, exports for Netflix advertising, and decks that explain how to use and access each creative and their function in the campaign are critical to a great handoff experience.
